Grand City Show Skiers Celebrate with Campers

July 3rd brought a special way to celebrate Independence Day at Camp Beechpoint. The Grand City Show Skiers provided a spectacular show for the campers, staff, and over 150 guests.

Most of the campers had never seen a water ski show before and some may never see one again. It was very fun and energizing to see the kids’ eyes light up as they saw something so new and different. The kids proved to be a great interactive audience. They were so pumped and having such a good time. Many of the kids asked for autographs, slapped high fives to the performers after their acts, and looked for ways to get a “feel” for the action by trying on ski gloves and checking out equipment.

From high-flying action, to humor, to stylistic doubles and pyramid skiing, it was a great show! Special thanks go out to Chad Van Horn of “The Real Estate Firm” for bringing this fun to the camp and sponsoring the show.

Red, White & Blue Ski Extravaganza

Come visit Beechpoint on Thursday, July 3rd!

See camp in action, enjoy a professional ski show at 7 PM, then refresh yourself with some ice cream treats. If you haven’t been to Camp in a while or if you haven’t been here with a camp full of kids – you have to come.

A professional ski club will present a show on our waterfront! Trick skiing, jumping, sailing, and formations will help us to celebrate the Fourth of July! Special thanks to all those who made this day possible.

So, find a friend to bring and call us to let us know you’re coming (800-991-CAMP). It’s going to be a great day of fun!

Spectacular Spectacle!

If an auction is a “spectacle”, we had a spectacular one! It was a wonderful day of fun! The steaks were amazing … the music was great … the building tours were encouraging … and the people were awesome! Special thanks to TerAvest Auctioneering who made everyone feel great about buying/giving. Special pies sold for $70 each. A jar of homemade pickles hit $110. Electronics, flowers, tools, baked goods, and hand-crafts rounded-out quite an auction.

The highlight was when friends were given the chance to “buy” (give) scholarships for summer campers. Some sponsored whole cabins, others sponsored single campers, while others gave other amounts – over $26,000 was designated for scholarships! What a blessings! Once again, we were in awe as we read the total tally for the event…$50,777. We are thankful for everyone who gave items, attended, and participated in the auction. Keep next year in mind. Same day and the same time- we will keep you posted.

4th Annual Benefit Auction

Join us for this exciting event! We are looking forward to a delicious steak fry, live music, beautiful setting, and a grand auction. Proceeds will go towards the final phase of the dining room/kitchen project, with opportunities to “bid-up some camper scholarships for disadvantaged kids.

We could use your helping hand! Think for a moment. Wouldn’t it be fun to see a bidding war for one of the finest pies you’ve ever made…? Contributors and donations of items are needed to make this event grand. Come and join the fun - It has become one of my favorite days of the year!

The steak fry and band begins at 3 PM. Silent Auction and viewing begins at 4 PM. And the live auction heats up from 5 - 7 PM. Bring a friend! It’s going to be a great day!
